An emergency alert was sent to cell phones in Missouri asking residents of "Gotham City, MO" to be on the lookout for...you guessed it, the Joker's car (purple/green 1978 Dodge 3700 GT).
What really happened?
It turns out there is no Gotham City in Missouri, as many people found out when they Googled it.

The real truth
The message was sent in error as part of a test of the alert system.
Many people had a good laugh with this one, including me.
Whoever sent the message has an impressive knowledge of Batman films.
