Well now, there are lots of different ways to build a career on the Internet. So I guess you could say this meme is somewhat inaccurate.

I love bingeing

I think it's more referring to mindless browsing of social media feeds or something. I think if the internet is used responsibly, it can lead to some great opportunities for you.
